Saint Ninian's Church

Vol. I Mvmt. 10 - Cluny's Arrival at Saint Ninian's Church

With this music, I have generally aimed to follow the storyline of the first Redwall novel (with a few exceptions, like Salamandastron and The Long Patrol). This piece continues along that storyline, where Cluny and his horde make their rather violent arrival at an abandoned church known as Saint Ninian's.

In writing this piece, I thought about what it might be like if Redwall was a stage musical or something similar. If that was the case, this piece might would be Cluny's show-stopping number (a la "Be Prepared" in Disney's The Lion King). While this piece turned out a bit more sedate than I had planned, I think it still does a good job of presenting Cluny and his army in the villainous light they need.
