Ace Pride by HarmonicSonic Ace Pride by HarmonicSonic
This is in no way meant to offfend the gay/lesbian community, but it seems like while there is a wealth of stamps regarding the homosexual lifestyle, there aren't as many concerning asexuality (though I admit that there are some good ones.)

If, like me, you do not find yourself physically attracted to either sex (whether you're romantic or aromantic), then this stamp is for you.

If you don't want me to say thank you, then don't fave it. If you accuse me of not looking at your profile, I will turn right around and accuse you of not reading the artist comments.

Awesome! I like how you combined one of the asexual symbols with the flag itself. And don't worry: I probably won't even notice if you don't say thank you. In fact, let me say, "Thank you!" Thank you for creating this because I know that there isn't enough attention and understanding brought to asexuality.

Although I am not asexual (though I did once consider that I might be) this stamp is still lovely. And we need more different sexuality stamps.

I've thought about possibly doing some others, but I haven't really decided. Thanks. :D

I never understood why people call homosexuality a life style, really my life style is different from other gay people. It's not like all straights have the same life style.

Even trough I think Pride is a little silly for something that is a part and normal to you, I salute you good sir always be yourself.

I've noticed that a lot of the people who are really into the "Pride" movement tend to make it into a lifestyle by their own choice (I'm not saying anyone chooses to be gay because I really don't believe that. But I am saying that some people allow their sexuality to define their lifestyle, rather than just taking it for what it is.). But I agree with you - not every gay person is the same, just like not every ace, bi, or straight person is the same. ;)

I haven't ever saw or witness that but maybe it's because I am Dutch. But I see a lot of homophobic people ( not calling you Homophobic ) use the term life style to imply deviant behavior for just being gay. But I see you're point.

I just think it's weird when its called a life style by either sides. A life style by definition that controls your life and this patern shows when you go to work, socially go out or by the way you eat and spend you're weekend.

No offense, but that might indeed be because you are Dutch. Just from my point of view, it seems to happen a lot here in the United States.

And I think I can understand why you would bristle at that. But you are correct - I am not homophobic. In fact, as an asexual, I consider myself in some ways to be part of the LGBT community (I know asexuals are not included in that abbreviation, but like them, we also have a "non-traditional" sexual preference).

And I'm not saying homosexuality (or bisexuality, or any other sexuality) is a lifestyle in and of itself. I just think that some gays (not all, mind you - just some) do fit that definition of a lifestyle. They make so many non-sex-related decisions based on their sexuality.

Meh you are included in my group which is..everyone can join. :p Gays do have gotten a lot of rights here faster then the USA maybe that could be the reason I dont know or we Dutch people also like to keep to yourselves. Not the most social kind.

I see what you mean. I just really dislike it when people use the term Gay-lifestyle to imply something there.

I have noticed that Europeans in general tend to be a lot less outspoken about sexuality than Americans.

And I understand why you dislike it. I don't hear it applied to asexuality as much, but I might would dislike it if I did. But nothing is implied here ;)

Maybe but we Dutch are really less outspoken about..everything really. xDDDD

I'm sorry to bother you, but I have to ask something.

Today, one of my friends tells us that she's asexual. And I'm very surprise when she says that, because I know that she's married.

Would you give me your opinion about that, please?

It's not that unheard-of. Asexual people will sometimes marry, and some will even engage in sex with their partner. It's important to remember that sex is not the only basis for a relationship. The best relationships are usually built on communication, common interests, enjoying each other's company, and things like that. There are also many different types of asexuality. I am an aromantic asexual (I do not experience sexual attraction or romantic attraction), but there are some people out there who are romantic asexuals (they may not have sexual attraction, but they can be romantically attracted to someone). It's also important to remember that asexuality, like any sexuality, can sometimes change over the course of a person's life. It's possible that your married friend has not always been asexual, but has become asexual since getting married.

AVEN (The Asexuality Visibility and Education Network) has very thorough information on asexuality and asexual relationships, and they can probably answer your questions better than I can. [link]

In some ways, I find it amusing that people just can't get their minds around the concept that some people aren't interested in sex. :)

I was drawn to it immediately because of the simplicity, colour and "geometry"(if that's the right word)

Good job!
